Description

The Australian League of Nations Union's beliefs in regard to the public campaign to increase Defence expenditure, especially in regard to government responsibilities.
They;
- believed that inflaming public opinion would not increase the security of Australia, and would in fact increase risks of war.
- recommended that the Government should do more to follow the Covenant of the League of Nations, and devise a better policy for military and economic disarmament.
-Recommended Australian delegates at the forthcoming League of Nations Assembly in Geneva should initiate proposals prohibiting the private manufacture of armaments, and that this manufacture should be prohibited in Australia.
